Head of ICT & Digital Transformation and Public Affairs & PR Manager

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and one of the two roles we are currently recruiting, Head of ICT & Digital Transformation, and Public Affairs & PR Manager

The College is made up of the expertise and experience of our 15,000+ outstanding, hardworking members, supported by over 100 College staff. Together, our clinicians, all of whom give their time freely to the work of the College, and staff are committed to providing an innovative, relevant and inspiring programme of activity across the College, with the ultimate aim of enhancing patient safety.

We are recruiting these roles at a particularly important time for our members, the wider medical profession and for College. Covid-19 has had a profound impact on our members’ professional lives and indeed on the whole profession. Our College has been at the forefront of supporting the profession throughout the pandemic. Continuing to advocate for and support them remains a key priority.

The past two years have seen significant change in College with, among other things, the implementation of a new CRM system, a move to online and hybrid delivery of exams and education events, and an increased need for advocacy for our members and the profession. The roles of Head of ICT & Digital Transformation, and Public Affairs & PR Manager will both therefore play important roles in shaping the future of the organisation, ensuring College delivers the best possible service to its members, prospective members and exam candidates, as well as ensuring the voice of the profession is heard.

If you think you can contribute to the work of our community and are excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of College’s work, then I very much look forward to hearing from you.
