Trustee Recruitment

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in becoming one of our Trustees.

At the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD), our vision is of a fairer Scotland where people with learning disabilities live full, safe, loving and equal lives. We need new Trustees to play their part in making that vision a reality.

We want to hear from people who can bring something different to our board and are willing to drive change. We welcome applications from people of all abilities and backgrounds and you do not have to have served on a board before.

More details about the type of Trustees we are looking for can be found in our role descriptions which are available in Easy Read.

For a confidential discussion about the role please contact Debbie Shields at our recruitment partners, Aspen People, on 0141 212 7555.

We want the process of applying to become a Trustee to feel inclusive and accessible so, as well as accepting written applications we are happy to receive audio and video applications from our candidates.  Please get in touch with our recruitment partner to discuss your preference.

We are also holding two online information sessions for those interested in applying on the 28th February at 1pm and on 9th March at 5.30pm. Please contact Kenneth Fleming at Kenneth.f@scld.co.uk if you would like to attend.
