Welcome to Ulster University Students’ Union (UUSU)

On behalf of the Student Officers, Staff and Trustee Board, I would like to thank you for registering an interest in the post of Chief Executive (CE) of UUSU.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational candidate to help shape our exciting future at UUSU. The individual will lead on the strategic plan which focuses on student engagement and representation. The successful candidate will be required to re-shape the organisation to deliver engaging membership services and activities whilst running efficient student commercial outlets.

Implementation of our strategic plan has commenced and the Students’ Union is undergoing a period of significant organisational change. There is currently a Trustee Board governing the organisation with an Interim Director in place to ensure a smooth handover to the new CE. The new CE will be taking on a challenging role and will be required to empower and motivate UUSU staff and officer teams to deliver impact for Ulster students.

The candidate should demonstrate a strategic approach to development and an understanding of the charity sector. The CE along with the Senior Management Team will lead a talented team of over forty staff and provide strong and effective leadership across our key SU departments.
