The current post holder will be a hard act to follow, but given we are in an ever-changing environment, the work she has already done will prove to be an excellent foundation upon which to continue to develop and improve the service.

As Director Financial Services you will be the guardian of our financial performance helping us maintain our V1 regulatory rating for viability. With significant financial expertise and as a qualified accountant, we are looking to you to support the financial management of our business. You will guide and advise us to make the best decisions possible for our customers and stakeholders

As well as providing clear financial advice and support you will manage a team of specialist financial and treasury teams who have a track record in delivering sound financial services and support for the whole business.

We want a consummate professional; someone with sound experience who can earn the respect of customers, colleagues and Board members alike; someone who can give good counsel and whose professional integrity will be second to none. As we have said in the advert, the right candidate will have inspirational leadership qualities and the ability to support the growth and development of our business in the future. The ability to develop strong relationships both inside and outside the organisation are key to the success of the job, so we will focus on both experience and personal qualities to see if you are the right fit for us.

It’s a lot to ask and we don’t think there are many people with the combination of skills and experience we want – but if you think you may be the right person for us, we would really like to hear from you.

You are likely to be in a senior financial / treasury role; a professional expert, used to working alongside directors and executives and will have a solid track record of giving advice, guidance and support on a range of financial and treasury matters. You will also have a good appreciation of the social housing sector. In addition, you will be a strategic thinker, a strong team player and have demonstrable leadership qualities.

This is a challenging job and you will have a high profile within the organisation and regionally through partnership working and relationships with our many stakeholders. The job has real potential to be a springboard for further career progression.
