I’m now nearly 6 weeks into my new role and although its been a very different start to my new career than I could ever imagine, I’m pleased I made the move. Despite all the disruption that C19 brings, there is still plenty of demand for my skills and numerous opportunities for me to use my experience in my new role. The reason I’m writing to you both is to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’. I originally came into contact with Aspen a few years ago when Donogh invited me to submit my CV for a senior post with the Scottish Government. Although I wasn’t successful at that time, the support and advice I received from Aspen was invaluable in helping me understand and appreciate the value of my skillset for prospective employers. Aspen maintained contact with me during the intervening period, ensuring they fully understood my career aspirations. Because Aspen had taken time to invest in building a relationship with me, Lesley was quick to match me to a role that an important client asked them to fill. Within a few days, I had met with a senior partner and discussions had started for an exciting career with one of the Big 4 tax firms. Lesley was extremely supportive throughout the whole process, acting as my mentor and advisor to help me present the best version of myself at every stage of the process. The care I received from you both was exceptional, so much so that I can honestly say that one phone call from Aspen quite literally changed my life! I am now embarking on a new career that is rewarding on so many levels and that would not have happened without your dedication and belief in me. You are both a pleasure to work with.
