Thank you for your interest in the role of Head of Growth, Planning and Climate within Moray Council.

Our Heads of Service are a pivotal part of the extended Corporate Leadership Team, sharing leadership responsibilities and accountability for the success of the Council.

This is a key leadership role in the Council providing vision,  authoritative professional advice and strategic direction on the full range of services within this portfolio aligned to the Council’s strategic aims and objectives.

The successful candidate will join a team with a clear and sustained focus on delivering our strategic priorities and ensuring that we maintain a strong core of services as a foundation on which to build our future vision. You will be a strategic thinker, adept at working collaboratively with elected members to deliver a forward looking and innovative council.

This is a challenging opportunity to contribute towards shaping the future direction of the council, to improve and modernise services for people living in Moray and put their needs at the heart of responsive service delivery. With increasing demands and ongoing budgetary challenges, there remains a spotlight on delivering Best Value, digital improvements and transformation at pace. The successful candidate will be required to influence and make a difference to service delivery at a pivotal point for the Council and this portfolio, and will have responsibility and authority to drive service improvement and change and support the development of a customer/user centred, high-performance culture.
