Welcome to St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh’s High Kirk and home to many events in the civic life of Scotland’s community. St Giles’ Cathedral is a place where pilgrims and visitors alike are drawn to visit from near and far. You would be joining St Giles’ at a very exciting time of great transition. We have recently expanded our staff team as we work to upgrade our visitor experience, retail offering, and worship schedule and quality.

Our key purpose is to share the story of St Giles’, the history of faith and reformation, of debate and enlightenment, and of community and royalty.

We launched our new St Giles’ retail experience in July, which is entirely integrated into an improved visitor experience. Additionally, we have welcomed some new colleagues in the roles of Development Officer and Communications Officer, and our new team of Visitor Engagement Assistants are settling in and beginning to offer tours to our visitors. Visitor Charging will commence in October. This will mean more intentional visitors to the Cathedral, and increased resources for the future life, ministry and work of St Giles’.

October will also bring additional opportunities for worship at St Giles’ including a new weekly Choral Evensong led by our marvellous choir.
