Thank you for your interest in applying to be a Trustee of OnFife, and helping us to continue to deliver on our mission of Opening Doors to Inspiration.
At OnFife we know how valuable creativity is to our communities, particularly now. A little inspiration can go a long way to help people connect with each other and live happy, healthy lives. Through our amazing venues, partnerships, and online channels we give people experiences to remember.
We run 42 high-quality venues across Fife including theatres, libraries, museums, galleries and archives. From historic buildings to mobile museums, award-winning new destinations to much-loved community hubs – in Fife, creativity comes in all shapes and sizes. As a registered charity, we’re here for Fife, not for profit.
We support Fife’s thriving creative communities – from grassroots events, exhibitions and competitions, to industry mentorship and networking. We help artists showcase and sell their work, hone their skills, share their experiences, and inspire others. We are Fearless, Inviting, Fair, and Exciting. Every penny we make is invested straight back into high-quality creative, entertainment and learning opportunities for the whole community... keeping the doors to inspiration open to everyone.
OnFife’s Board comprises 13 Directors, composed of 4 elected members of Fife Council, and 9 independent Directors. We are currently looking to recruit a new Chair and several Trustees for our Board. We have a trading subsidiary, Fife Cultural Services Trading Ltd, which oversees our income generating services including box office, bar, catering, and retail. The trading subsidiary can have up to 6 directors on its Board, and we are also currently seeking to fill at least 1 vacancy on this Board. We are particularly keen to improve the Board’s diversity and therefore will welcome applications from under-represented age groups and those with backgrounds, knowledge, and experience, which differ from the Board members we already have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Dr David Caldwell
Chair of the Board
