We are seeking a 21st century leader to be the new Chief Executive of award-winning Port of Leith Housing Association and the POLHA group. Established in 1975, the Association owns and manages almost 3,000 homes making it one of the largest social landlords in Edinburgh. Based in the heart of the thriving and historic community of Leith, in the north of the city, the POLHA group comprises the charitable Port of Leith Housing Association and Persevere Development Ltd (PDL), its private arm, which delivers homes for midmarket rent. The third strand, Quay Community Improvements is a social enterprise which provides employability, training opportunities and other related local services.

We are all extremely proud of what Port of Leith has achieved to date: our high quality affordable housing has been recognised with many awards. Our highly motivated staff group, under the expert leadership of our current Chief Executive, Keith Anderson have also undertaken an extensive review of the Association’s values and leadership style, which recently won the CIH excellence award for Organisational Change.

Our new Chief Executive will provide strong, clear and creative leadership for the POLHA staff group (of 111 people) and will work closely with the Board to ensure delivery of our new strategic plan. Looking ahead, we have an ambitious housing development programme to deliver 570 new homes over the next five years and will play a key ‘place-making’ role in creating quality homes and communities through the continued regeneration of the Leith, Granton and Waterfront areas.

If you think you have the skills and personal qualities to meet this challenge and share our values and ambitions, we would like to hear from you.
