Director – SCIAF
Welcome from Alistair Dutton, Director – SCIAF
Thank you for your interest in the post at SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund).
The information in this microsite is intended to answer any questions you may have about the work of SCIAF and the advertised position. If, however, you have any unanswered queries or you would like to find out more about what is involved please don’t hesitate to contact Debbie Shields or Donogh O’Brien at Aspen.
SCIAF is a leading Scottish international aid and development charity, working with people in some of the poorest countries in the world to provide emergency aid and practical long term support to those affected by hunger, poverty, war and natural disasters. We are a proud member of the global Caritas family and worked with local partners in 27 countries to provide direct, practical help to over 207,000 people last year alone. In Scotland we bring together people in parishes, schools and groups across Scotland to lobby governments and big business with campaigns to address the causes of global poverty and injustice, and promote active global citizenship. We want a world without poverty, where the poorest can survive and thrive.
We are looking for a senior executive with a proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and extensive management experience to oversee, co-ordinate and drive our work in Scotland which directly supports our projects overseas. SCIAF is at a crucial stage in the implementation of its five-year strategy, and you will be responsible for building its brand and public profile, and achieving its ambitious fundraising strategy. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring clear strategies for achieving ambitious fundraising and engagement targets are met, drawing together the work of the communications, fundraising, outreach and supporter services teams.
To help us successfully deliver this programme we are looking for a highly motivated individual for the post of Director of Fundraising, Communications and Education. This is a high-profile role which manages all our domestic operations and provides assurance that the department’s targets are being delivered in line with our Catholic values. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact at what is an exciting time for our charity.
Thank you for your interest in the role and we look forward to considering your application.
