Wishaw & District HA was established 40 years ago as an independent, community based housing association providing affordable homes to support and sustain the local community. It now owns and manages almost 1300 homes; however, the past two years have been a period of significant challenge.
Decisions taken in the past exposed weaknesses in our governance and financial management which led in 2016 to the Scottish Housing Regulator escalating its engagement with the Association to ensure the tenants’ interests are protected. This has resulted in some significant improvements in the financial management and governance of the Association but there remains much to do, including a Strategic Review of the options for the future management of the Association.
The Association now wishes to recruit 3 experienced and enthusiastic interim senior managers to work as part of the current Senior Management Team and alongside the Board.
