Principal and Chief Executive

Thank you for your interest in the post of Principal of Glasgow Clyde College.

Glasgow Clyde was formed in 2013 through the merger of Anniesland, Cardonald and Langside Colleges. It is a College with strong roots in its local communities, and has a particular strength in the extent of its partnership working with local schools and employers. Clyde also partners with the other Glasgow colleges, City of Glasgow and Glasgow Kelvin, contributing to a regional strategy that is framed by the Glasgow Colleges’ Regional Board. The College is looking to appoint an exceptional person as Principal – someone with the leadership qualities to command the respect of our staff, with a strategic mind to help shape the future provision of college education in Glasgow, and with a passion for learning and for improving opportunities for our students.

Leading a major College is a demanding job, and a rewarding one. If you come to Glasgow Clyde, you will have the pleasure of working with an excellent senior management team, and with governors who are enthusiastic for the success of the College and its students. Above all, you will be working with teaching and support staff who have a track record of delivering excellent results, and a deep commitment to student success.

Best wishes

David Newall,
Chair of the Board of Management
