Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) is an ambitious joint venture between Dundee City Council, Michelin, and Scottish Enterprise. An Innovation Parc created to drive growth and diversity in the Scottish economy while addressing the global climate emergency.

The MSIP Vision is to create 850 sustainable jobs in Dundee by becoming a global destination for innovation and investment in Sustainable Mobility. MSIP will work in creative partnerships with leading Universities, research institutions, attract innovative companies and attract and train skilled people. Companies and projects at MSIP will contribute to Scotland’s targets for low carbon, raising investment, delivering skills and training and to achieving export growth and addressing the climate emergency. At MSIP, we have three core values – People, Place and Planet .

Our current Chief Executive has secured the legacy left by the Michelin Tyre Company and created a 10 Year Strategic Plan fully funded by the three join venture partners. A number of businesses and leading Universities have already committed to being part of this new venture. Having completed the foundation of the MSIP, the CEO is moving to a new role and we are now looking to recruit a new leader to continue to drive the strategic vision of the Parc and to create a truly world leading centre for the development of Sustainable Mobility Innovation and Technology.

Demonstrating sound credentials in advanced manufacturing, our new Chief Executive will lead a talented team on the construction of the Parc and the creation of its key partnerships, its promotion, evolution and delivery of its values, business goals and 850 sustainable jobs in Dundee.

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader, someone with ambassadorial and inclusive leadership, together with collaborative stakeholder engagement skills, commercial acumen, and evidence of sound political awareness.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to listen, engage, persuade and present complex information to diverse audiences. A proven track record of accomplishment in multifaceted environments will be important together with commercial understanding, negotiation and marketing skills.

Experience of working in the low carbon, sustainable transport, or circular economy sectors would be a distinct advantage but not necessary. You will come with a passion for and commitment to tackling climate change and net zero carbon emissions.
