ASPEN HEADHUNT FOR UHI PRINCIPAL ATTRACTS QUALITY INTERNATIONAL FIELD
We have had some really positive feedback from the team at the University of the Highlands and Islands on the initial stages to recruit a new Principal and Vice-Chancellor.
Applications closed with nearly 80 applications with Fiona Larg, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary stating:
“We are absolutely delighted with the response…Forty per cent of our applications are from international candidates, with 35 per cent from staff at other UK universities and the remaining 25 per cent from candidates with substantial leadership experience within similarly complex organisations in the public and private sectors.”
Donogh O’Brien, Director, led the search and commented:
“This has been a testing search completed within a comparatively short time frame, to get the appropriate balance between international and local (UK) search. I am particularly delighted with the comment from the panel Chair stating "Aspen certainly delivered their promise" which was down to a brilliant team effort by our researchers, coordinators & consultants”.
Congratulations to the team for reaching this stage and we all look forward to the next stages in early 2014.< Back to Latest News
