WISE GROUP EVENT WITH KENNY MACASKILL ON NEW ROUTES PARTNERSHIP
Donogh O’Brien attended an event hosted by The Wise Group on Wednesday 18th June 2014 at The Corinthian in Glasgow. The event was supported by the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Kenny MacAskill where he discussed the issue of offender rehabilitation through employment.
The event’s focus was on The New Routes Partnership which is a Public Social Partnership, led by the Wise Group and created to design and deliver a national mentoring service for prolific male offenders with outcomes that will contribute to reducing re-offending.
Donogh’s comments on the event:
“The Wise Group CEO, Laurie Russell, captured the imagination of the Audience by commending his team and showing a short video of what the New Routes initiative is achieving with its Partners through its commitment to helping offenders make a meaningful contribution to society once they are released from prison. It’s great to see Social Enterprise making a real difference by working in Partnership, a fundamental ethos shared by Aspen People.’
