ASPEN MD, KEN DALGLEISH, INTERVIEWED BY BBC RADIO SCOTLAND

Our Managing Director, Ken Dalgleish, was delighted to be interviewed by Gillian Marles on behalf of Business Scotland (BBC Radio Scotland) last week.  Gillian was keen to talk with representatives from across the recruitment industry to find out how the sector operates – with over 25 years in the business Ken was well placed to provide an interesting interview.

Ken explains a typical Aspen recruitment process from end-to-end and highlights how Aspen works in partnership with both our clients and candidates throughout the process to achieve a successful outcome.  Ken also highlights how various search avenues, such as researchers, social media, contacts / networks etc., are used in collaboration at Aspen to enhance the recruitment process for all parties – this can often “bring something new to the table”.

BBC Radio Scotland highlights that the recruitment industry is a significant player in the UK economy – employing close to 100,000 people. In this regard, Ken explains the diversity of roles and sectors that Aspen recruits for and highlights the need for diverse skill sets in today markets. Indeed, in senior level recruitment Ken comments that there is “no room for error” when it comes to finding the right person – a view which reflects Aspen’s values entirely.
