NHS LANARKSHIRE APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Aspen are delighted that Calum Campbell has been appointed as the new Chief Executive at NHS Lanarkshire (after successfully holding the same position at NHS Borders). Aspen conducted an extensive search for NHS Lanarkshire, headed up by Ken Dalgleish and Donogh O’Brien, to ensure that a competitive and quality shortlist was presented – Calum is testament to that quality! BBC News covered this appointment and the article is available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-29884735
NHS Lanarkshire was looking to appoint an experienced executive with the drive, determination and commitment for transformational change and Calum certainly fitted this bill. Previous to his successful career at NHS Borders, Calum worked with ABM University NHS Trust and prior to that he balanced a NHS career (starting as a nurse in 1984) with his role as a striker for several Scottish League football clubs – thus a highly experienced and charismatic senior leader. NHS Lanarkshire is one of the largest health boards in Scotland and we know that Calum will relish in this challenge and successfully take NHS Lanarkshire forward.
Aspen are delighted to have been involved in this appointment and would like to wish Calum all the best in his new role.< Back to Latest News
