Aspen are delighted to be working with NHS Grampian to recruit a new Chief Executive. This is an outstanding opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark by influencing the development of world class healthcare.

NHS Grampian is the third largest teaching Board in Scotland, with strong links to local Universities. The Board provides tertiary services to the 550,000 people of Grampian and residents of neighbouring NHS Boards, Orkney and Shetland. NHS Grampian employs in excess of 17,000 staff. Acute services are provided principally from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin and are widely regarded as a sector leader in the provision of high quality patient care. During 2014 -15, their three Community Health Partnerships (CHPs) in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray will evolve into health and social care partnerships in collaboration with the three local authorities.

NHS Grampian seeks to be an outstanding provider of world class services and employer of choice. They are looking for someone who is passionate about modern innovative healthcare and delivery of high quality care in the right place; care about how they deliver the best for their population and provide a positive workplace for their staff to ensure they are developed and empowered.

Aspen’s Managing Director, Ken Dalgleish, will be leading this high-profile search and notes that:

“This is a superb leadership opportunity in one of the most important health economies in the UK”

Aspen look forward to working in partnership with NHS Grampian to produce a competitive field of candidates for this excellent role. Full details on the position, including a video from NHS Grampian Chairman, Professor Stephen Logan, can be found at
