The Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home (EDCH) has recently appointed Howard Bridges as their new Chief Executive following a successful recruitment exercise with Aspen People.

EDCH is Scotland’s oldest independent dog and cat rescue organisation and it cares for almost 1,000 dogs and 300 cats every year.  To support its charitable work, it also provides boarding facilities and last year looked after almost 3,000 boarding animals.  The Home is a well-established part of Edinburgh’s history and is a highly respected organisation.  It is also one of the founder members of The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes.

Howard Bridges joins EDCH at the end of April 2015 having previously worked with Blue Cross, Jerry Green Dog Rescue and Battersea Dog and Cats Home prior to that.

The Home was looking for a new highly experienced leader to enhance this well-established organisation and to take the charity forward into a new era of achievement.

Aspen would like to wish both Howard and EDCH all the best for the future.
