As part of our continuing support for the Brick by Brick Appeal, Aspen were glad to have the opportunity to attend the launch of the Hospice’s Buy A Brick campaign last Wednesday, 31st August 2016.

We’re pleased to hear that the campaign is off to a good start and raised £4,185 in the first 24 hours.

The Brick by Brick Appeal was set up to raise the £21million needed to build a state-of-the-art new home for Glasgow’s Hospice at Bellahouston Park.

The hospice still has to raise £2.8m to reach its target. The hospice has now launched the latest phase of that fundraising campaign – the chance to Buy a Brick to help build Glasgow’s Hospice.

The hospice serves a population of approximately 345,000, from across Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Cambuslang and Rutherglen. Our services are provided by a team of about 140 outstanding hospice employees. Those services include day services for outpatients, an inpatient ward with 14 beds, a team of community nurse specialists, pain and symptom control clinics, education for healthcare professionals, providing palliative care team support at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, support services for GPs, nurses and hospital staff.
