'Disruptor' Debbie Shields adapts Aspen's way of working
Recently-appointed Associate Director, Debbie Shields, has joined Aspen People to grow their already reputable client base with her agile approach to recruitment. Since joining the team in May, Debbie has brought 9 year’s of experience with her, which includes work within the charity and non-profit sector, as well as a depth of experience in senior-level finance roles.
Aspen have a focus on recruiting prestigious roles in partnership with a broad range of public and private sector organisations, offering an unbeatable quality of service to attract the highest-calibre individuals. Debbie has been appointed to help grow the company’s offering of Senior Managers and Directors, and not only full-time roles, but also interim impact positions.
“Aspen are by far the best recruitment agency in Scotland specialising in executive recruitment, and have a very strong brand. They have a fantastic reputation associated and incredibly high standards, which are some of the many attributes that attracted me to joining the well-established team.”
As well as her wealth of experience in the recruitment sector, Debbie is Vice Chair for SAY Women, and a committee member of Scottish Women in Business. Having worked within the 3rd sector, Debbie understands the challenges that non-profit organisations face, which adds to the knowledge she brings to Aspen.
Labelled by the team as the ‘disruptor’, Debbie is looking at a different slant on how Aspen direct their recruitment offerings to new as well as existing clients. Many perceive Aspen as only recruiting the highest-level roles in employment - it will be her innovative approach that helps grow the middle to senior management positions that Aspen also specialises in.
Nigel Fortnum, Director of Aspen, said:
“First time I met with Debbie I knew early on she had the experience, passion and cultural fit to develop and grow Aspen People. We are delighted to have secured Debbie, as an Associate Director in the business and will work with her to grow our impact in the middle to senior management market across all the sectors Aspen specialise in, and to support her to develop new areas. Already we are benefitting from her original ideas of working and fresh approach to the market.”< Back to Latest News
