Jopling most recently served as Director of ProjectScotland, and previously worked as Executive Director for Samaritans Scotland. He was formerly Head of External Affairs for Shelter Scotland and held senior fundraising positions with Oxfam and Cancer Research UK. He replaces James Cant, who took over at the Resuscitation Council UK last year, and started on 20th January 2020.
"I am hugely excited to take up this role to help deliver the vision of British Heart Foundation for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases," said Jopling. "With around 1,400 deaths from heart and circulatory diseases every month in Scotland alone, it is clear how much more we all need to do."
BHF Interim Chief Executive Carolan Davidge said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome James to the BHF. James brings with him a wealth of experience and will be a real asset to our work in Scotland."
Aspen were delighted to work with James and the team at British Heart Foundation and wish them well for their future.
