New Chief Executive Appointed at Central Scotland Green Network Trust
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Derek Robertson as the new Chief Executive at CSGNT, following a successful recruitment campaign led by Aspen People. Derek takes over from Simon Rennie who retired last year.
Derek has a long-established and successful career as a charity Chief Executive and most recently led environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful for nearly nine years.
Derek is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and Fellow of the RSA. He is also a Chartered Waste Manager and former IoD Director of the Year for Central Scotland.
Chair of CSGNT, Keith Geddes, said:
“Derek’s considerable experience as leader within the charity sector, and his background in the environment, meant he was the unanimous choice of the panel. He brings with him a track record of successfully developing organisations, raising their profile and increasing their impact. I am pleased that Derek has joined us at an important time for our charity.”
Derek said:
“I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead this important environmental charity which is charged with delivering the largest greenspace project in Europe. With environmental issues being so topical, this is a great time to be promoting the benefits of working with CSGNT to all sectors across Central Scotland. I am very much looking forward to working with the Board and the staff team to lead the organisation through its next stage of development.”
We would like to wish both CSGNT and Derek all the best for the future.
