UHI APPOINT PRINCIPAL & VICE-CHANCELLOR WITH ASPEN INTERNATIONAL SEARCH
Aspen are delighted that the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) have secured Clive Mulholland as their new Principal & Vice-Chancellor.
The team at Aspen, led by Donogh O’Brien, conducted an international search which resulted in just shy of 80 applications with candidates applying from around the world including UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia.
Donogh said of the search:
“As relative newcomers to this level of educational role we wanted to uphold our promise to UHI of fulfilling a geographically wide head hunt activity to attract candidates of both high educational and leadership credentials. We believe Clive is a strong individual in both of these areas.”
The BBC reported on the appointment and a further quote from the University can be found online:
Clive Mulholland joins UHI on 1st June 2014 and will be moving from his role as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of South Wales. Clive was “more than happy” to endorse his experience of the recruitment process at Aspen:
“My initial approach from Aspen was discrete, professional and engaging and through my experience of working with Donogh O’Brien, Katy Gall and their team I was delighted with their fresh and honest approach to representing the brief and in the subsequent candidate handling I experienced. I found them responsive and professional; they indeed delivered a unique partnership journey all the way through.”
We wish Clive a long and successful career and know that UHI will continue on its current successes under his leadership.
