Thank you for your interest in joining our Board of Directors.

We are a Scottish charity and a relatively large culture and leisure trust delivering a range of venues and programmes in Renfrewshire and serving the West of Scotland more widely.

Its an exciting time to join us as we prepare to deliver some of the central attractions for Paisley and Renfrewshire’s cultural-led regeneration in the next 2-3 years. Following Paisley’s 2021 bid for City of Culture,the development of our major capital projects such as Paisley Museum Reimagined, and the refurbishment of Paisley Town Hall, Arts Centre and Central Learning Hub are frequently capturing the headlines. We want to ensure that, as the largest provider of cultural and leisure services for Renfrewshire, the success of these major projects really deliver in terms of making a positive difference to individual and community wellbeing, whilst supporting positive economic activity for the area. 

We wish to encourage applications from a range of talented people who share our passion to deliver the very best outcomes for our communities. We want to achieve this by delivering successful business models both for our leisure, sport and health services as well as by delivering our new cultural services, so that they not only deliver for locals but attract visitors to the area, placing Paisley and Renfrewshire firmly on the cultural map.

Renfrewshire Leisure is ready to embark on the next phase to develop the charity, with exciting plans underway to renew some of Renfrewshire’s major cultural venues and enhance our leisure attractions. We are keen to welcome new directors who can bring energy, expertise and drive to help us realise these ambitions. But we also recognise that to get there, we need directors who can help steer the charity safely out of the impacts we are experiencing due to Covid-19.

You will be joining a proactive organisation that, whilst in-person services are currently suspended, has been recognised nationally for its online innovation and community spirit. Help us take this learning forward as we shape our future organisation to best fit the needs of Renfrewshire’s communities, whilst delivering the ambition for Renfrewshire’s cultural and leisure assets to gain the recognition they deserve.

As we enter the next phase of the charity’s work, we need to be confident we have a board of directors with the expertise, skills and passion to deliver for Renfrewshire. If you share our passion and have the skill sets to support us, we would love to hear from you.
