Thank for your interest in becoming a member of the team at Shetland Recreational Trust. 

Our vision is “Improving lives through sport and leisure activity” and, as the Chief Executive Officer of our organisation, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our aims and objectives towards that vision.

This is clearly a critical role for us.  Our organisation has grown and evolved many times but recent years have seen many new challenges for our organisation and governance.  We now face more challenges as we work with our partners and customers to explore how we can balance resources and ambitions for the future. We know we need someone who will bring leadership, ambassadorship and change management skills to our charity.

The Shetland Recreational Trust, in partnership with Shetland Charitable Trust, Shetland Islands Council and many others, is investing in the confidence of Shetland to face up to challenges and opportunities ahead. We must continue to provide facilities that attract people to live and work in Shetland and help to attract visitors and activity.

Moreover, the Shetland Recreational Trust is investing in the health of our population by providing the infrastructure required for participation in a whole range of activities and the opportunity to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
