Consultant Neuroradiologists (3) with a sub specialist interest in Interventional Neuroradiology

Glasgow:  NHSGGC Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus

£76,761 to £103,490 (plus relocation package where appropriate)

This is your opportunity to apply for one of our exciting Consultant Neuroradiologist Positions in our advanced, state of art imaging department in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Dimensions:  As one of the largest health organisations in the UK, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde continues to be at the forefront of innovation and change with the delivery of a £1 billion modernisation programme with the opening of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the new Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, both in the QEUH Campus.

The Directorate of Diagnostics is responsible for the provision of Imaging (including Neuroradiology), Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Physics and Bio-engineering and Medical Illustration across the whole of NHSGGC and forms the largest Diagnostic entity in Europe.

The Challenge: The Diagnostics Directorate is looking for enthusiastic, talented specialists to become members of the existing Neuroradiology Team, providing experience and support for a range of interventional and diagnostic procedures which cover adults and paediatrics. These roles offer the right individual a unique opportunity to help shape the future, with one extraordinary individual being appointed Lead of Neuroradiology, working with the Directorate Management team in driving forward the Imaging strategy for this World Class Unit.

The Person:  With the respect of your peers and exuding gravitas and credibility, you will be a newly qualified or established Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist who is able to demonstrate the key qualities and behaviours that will influence the continuing success of the existing Team.

The Opportunities:  Due to the close links and co-location of the newly completed University of Glasgow Teaching and Learning Centre on the QEUH site, there will be opportunities to pursue academic and clinical teaching interests.  In addition, with emphasis on R&D within NHSGGC, there will be an opportunity for an Imaging Chair, should we find the right candidate.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of receiving a CCT in Clinical Radiology) at the time of interview for this post.

If you have what we are looking for and are excited about taking up one of these exceptional roles we would love to hear from you.

For further information, in the first instance please contact:  Lorraine Porteous on 0141 212 7555 or email: mscholes@aspenpeople.com
