Viewpoint is Scotland’s oldest housing association and is unique in that it has both care homes and sheltered housing. Their three care homes are located in Edinburgh and their over 1300 properties located within Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.
Viewpoint’s focus is to create joy in later years by managing a range of supported housing and care services for older people in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. It all started back in 1947 and their goals are the same today as they’ve always been - to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of their tenants and residents by encouraging independence, enabling choice and offering peace of mind in a safe and supported environment.
Board members bring specific expertise to the organisation and ensure that Viewpoint continues to uphold strong governance and effective management. Appointed members will provide strategic input and approve critical business decisions with the residents and tenants in mind, maintaining the vision of creating joy in later years.
The particular skills and experience desired from new board members would be:
- Strategic Housing Experience
- Human Resources
- Financial Management
