Group Chief Executive Officer Vacancy
Albyn Housing Society is a Scottish based Housing Association; its purpose is to make a positive difference to people’s lives through providing good quality, affordable housing. Through excellent customer service and innovative services, Albyn supports over 60 communities across the Highlands, offering great homes to enable great lives.
Albyn was formed in 1973 to build homes for the incoming workers of Invergordon Smelter. Operating as a registered charity, the organisation now provides over 3,100 affordable rent properties and 1,000 shared ownership. Staff are empowered by the message of “do the right thing”, placing great value on customer service quality.
Albyn’s natural growth means the organisation now employs over 80 staff based across two offices, Invergordon and Inverness. Albyn also delivers technology enabled housing through Albyn Enterprises Ltd. The “Fit Home” concept has been developed in partnership with NHS Highland and Carbon Dynamic, and promotes wellbeing and preventative health solutions, through to end of life care.
Highland Residential (Inverness) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, identifies innovative solutions to address the need for additional affordable housing opportunities which include estate agency and letting services, mid-market rental properties, alongside a factoring service to over 3,000 homes in the Highlands.
Albyn is now looking to recruit a Chief Executive who will lead the organisation going forward, taking a collaborative approach with partners and staff to ensure that Albyn continues to build on its successes.
The successful candidate will embrace Albyn’s mission to maintain, build and manage quality housing throughout the Highlands, and to support communities to thrive. With an ambitious new build programme and considerable planned investment works, this role is an excellent opportunity to work with an ambitious, forward-thinking organisation.
Albyn’s new Chief Executive will bring excellent leadership skills with a track record in people development, engineering a culture of followship across the organisation, and have a wealth of stakeholder and partnerships management experience. Possessing strong communication skills, the new CEO will become the ambassador for an organisation supporting thousands of tenants across the Highlands.
All backgrounds will be considered for the role; relevance for the role must be highlighted within your application.
