Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited owns ferries, ports and harbours and infrastructure necessary for vital ferry services serving the west coast of Scotland and the Clyde Estuary, and the Northern Isles. CMAL currently has an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual as their Finance Director on a part-time basis.
 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the position will oversee the Finance and Procurement Functions to support the achievement of strategic objectives and underpin effective corporate governance. The post holder will report to and attend CMAL Board meetings; previous experience of this would be desirable.  You will also be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and provide advice to the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team covering operational activity, capital expenditure and associated funding.

You will have a proven track-record of strategic management with a good understanding of public sector reporting requirements. You must have excellent leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate teams at all levels. The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with experience operating at board level.
