Hanover Scotland provides and manages a range of specialist housing for older people, as well as for families. As one of Scotland’s largest social landlords we currently manage more than 5,000 homes and provide a range of other services including telecare community alarm monitoring and housing with care. Through our factoring service we also offer experienced housing and property skills to the owners of more than 1,000 properties.
We have developed a range of housing and care choices across the whole of mainland Scotland which includes a choice of rented, shared ownership, shared equity and fully owned housing. To meet the different support needs of older people, we provide sheltered housing, amenity housing (aimed at more active older people) and very sheltered housing and housing with care, offering extra support to residents.
We are a values-led organisation employing over 600 staff across Scotland; we want to help older people feel safe and secure at home and to live fulfilling and independent lives. To continue our success, it is critical we not only respond but lead, our new Chief Executive must have the leadership qualities to sustain and build on the strengths and formidable success that we have achieved. You will inspire staff to give of their best, and for customers, these qualities must deliver new opportunities in the provision of homes for life, through innovation and creativity in the design, development and delivery of affordable housing.
We are looking for an individual who has a strong track record of achievement at senior executive level within a complex organisation, who can inspire teams and engage with customers. Experience gained within housing, care and support or regeneration is desirable, although not necessary and public or private sector backgrounds will be considered for the role.
