Thank you for your interest in the role of Chief Executive at Govanhill Housing Association. Our outgoing Chief Executive has led the organisation for the past seven years and we are now looking for an exceptional leader to take us forward into our next chapter.

We own and manage 2800 properties and also provide factoring services to owner occupiers as well as managing commercial properties through our wholly owned subsidiary Govanhill Community Development Trust. Also, in partnership with a variety of support agencies, we manage a number of supported accommodation projects. During 2024/5 we celebrated our 50th anniversary, half a century’s commitment to the Govanhill and more recently Merrylee communities.

We have a professional, committed and skilled staff team and a very experienced Management Team. We are led by an experienced and dedicated Management Committee made up of local people a majority of whom are tenants. Our financial position is strong, and our strategic direction is ambitious.

We are searching for an inspiring and strategic leader who shares our values and who can, working with the Management Team and our Boards of Management, harness the strengths of our organisation while bringing fresh ideas and perspectives. You will be a skilled communicator, keen to build relationships with partners in the local area and more widely. You will be committed to improving the living conditions for those living in Govanhill and Merrylee and open to innovative projects with local people and partners.
