About Us
We own and manage 2800 properties in Govanhill and Merrylee on the southside of Glasgow and also provide factoring services to around 1500 owner occupiers as well as managing commercial properties through our wholly owned subsidiary Govanhill Community Development Trust. We also manage in partnership with a number of support agencies a variety of supported accommodation projects.
Govanhill Community Development Trust, which owns and manages a portfolio of commercial offices and workspaces for small businesses, is a non-charitable subsidiary. GCDT’s commercial activities support community development initiatives for the benefit of local people.

Our Management Committee comprises of up to 15 members
The Board annually elects its office-bearers – Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
The Board employs a Chief Executive who is responsible for leading and managing staff of the organisation to deliver the strategy set by the Management Committee. The CEO and Management Team lead the day-to-day work of the organisation under the departments of Corporate Services & HR, Development & Property Services, Finance & IT and Tenancy Services. The CEO is directly responsible, with the Board of Management, for the work of the subsidiary with support, through a service agreement, from other departments. Our wholly owned subsidiary GCDT also has its own Board with co-opted members from the Association a part of it.
We have a staffing complement of 90 (81.3 FTE) staff employed by the Association and GCDT.
