The National Library of Scotland is Scotland’s largest library, holding world-class collections and is one of the major research libraries in Europe. The Head of Finance is vital to the achievement of the Library’s strategic objectives and has responsibility for managing the Library’s financial resources together with the provision of financial services, information, support and advice to all parts of the business.
As a member of the Library’s Corporate Leadership Team you will contribute to and support the development and implementation of corporate and departmental strategy, ensuring effective financial management and planning is applied across all Library operations. You will provide advice and support to the Executive Leadership Team for all aspects of Corporate Finance control, planning and performance. As the most senior financial professional in the Library, you will actively contribute to Library wide collaboration and co-ordination of cross functional policies, strategies and activities.
As Head of Finance, you must be a qualified accountant with a professional qualification from a recognised CCAB body.
