An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Head of Division for Business, Enterprise and Management.
Reporting to the Dean of Arts, Social Sciences and Management, the Head of Division will manage the implementation of the School operational plan at Divisional level, line manage academic staff within the Division, manage the Division’s non-staffing expenditure budgets, and monitor the quality of the Division’s courses.
The Head of Division will provide advice and support for the Dean on all academic issues relative to the Division encompassing learning and teaching, knowledge exchange, research, consultancy, commercialisation, international partnerships, continuing professional development and staff development. She/he will provide clear leadership to academic staff within the Division, and play a key role in driving forward the University’s strategies for student experience, research & knowledge exchange and internationalisation.
With excellent people management and communication skills, and a demonstrable track record in successful academic leadership and management, quality assurance and budget management, the successful applicant will have substantial experience working within a relevant discipline within higher education.
