Director of Finance, Infrastructure & Corporate Services

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the role of Director of Finance, Infrastructure and Corporate Services (FICS) with Abertay University.

This is a great opportunity to play a strategic leadership role in our modern, friendly University, based in Dundee and with a rapidly growing international reach.

Abertay is ranked in the UK top 10 for teaching satisfaction and student experience, and is among the UK’s top modern universities for research intensity. This is an exciting time to join the University as we are in a period of growth and diversification, including transnational education with partner institutions around the world and our increasing Abertay Online portfolio.

The Director of FICS has a critical role, leading and managing the University’s largest Service directorate and sharing strategic leadership of the institution as a member of the Executive Group and Senior Management Team, and Chief Financial Officer.

We are looking for candidates with experience in motivating, inspiring and developing staff teams across different professional specialisms, and of senior, strategic leadership in a dynamic and complex organisation.

Our values – developed in wide consultation with our staff – are that we aim to be inclusive and people-centred; excellent and innovative; professional and collaborative; caring and respectful. We are proud to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of Abertay life, and encourage applications from minority and under-represented groups.
