Thank you for your interest in the role of Director of Development & Property Services at Govanhill Housing Association. Our outgoing Director is retiring after 27 years with the Association, and we are now looking for an exceptional leader to develop this work and lead the department.

We own and manage 2800 properties and also provide factoring services to 1500 owner occupiers as well as managing commercial properties through our wholly owned subsidiary Govanhill Community Development Trust. Also, in partnership with a variety of support agencies, we manage a number of supported accommodation projects. During 2024/5 we celebrated our 50th anniversary, half a century’s commitment to the Govanhill and more recently Merrylee communities.

We have a professional, skilled and very experienced Management Team which this post holder will be an integral member of. We are led by an experienced and dedicated Management Committee made up of local people a majority of whom are tenants. Our financial position is strong, and our strategic direction is ambitious.

We are searching for an inspiring and strategic Director who shares our values and who can continue to develop the work of the department bringing fresh ideas and perspectives and providing innovative solutions. You will be a skilled communicator committed to improving the living conditions for those living in Govanhill and Merrylee.
