Salary – Up to £80,000 per annum subject to experience

25 days holiday increasing to 28 with an additional day each year for 3 years, 12 bank holidays, Christmas shutdown not taken out of entitlement.

As Director of Operations at Street League, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s future and ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for young people across the UK.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide strategic leadership across Street League’s operational function, working through two Heads of Operations to ensure our programmes are high-performing, innovative, sustainable and consistently focused on impact.

You will lead the development and delivery of Street League’s UK Operational Strategy, translating our wider Business Plan and Fit for Future ambitions into effective operational plans, structures and ways of working. With accountability for performance across our programmes and regions, you will champion operational excellence, continuous improvement and evidence-led decision making, ensuring we deliver consistently high-quality services for young people, commissioners, partners and funders.

A key part of the role will be leading the continued evolution of our operating model and services. You will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen quality, develop new approaches and ensure our programmes remain responsive to the changing needs of young people, the labour market and our commissioning environment. The role will also oversee the Strategic planning and execution of our Employer Engagement growth,  to build, maintain, and harness relationships with employers and corporate partners that translate into meaningful opportunities, sustainable engagement, and measurable impact for young people and communities.

You will be an inspirational and inclusive leader, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and high performance. Through your leadership of the Heads of Operations, you will ensure our teams have the capability, support and clarity they need to succeed across a geographically dispersed UK operation.

The role also carries executive oversight of safeguarding, health and safety, risk, compliance, quality assurance and operational financial performance. You will work collaboratively across Operations, Contracts and Quality, Commercial, HR, Finance, Marketing and Data to ensure that strong governance and effective performance management underpin everything we do.

Most importantly, you will help ensure that the voice and experience of young people remains at the heart of our operational decision making. You will oversee the implementation of the Youth Board across the UK and champion meaningful feedback, learning and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Street League at a significant point in our journey. Following a record-breaking 2025/26 year, in which we supported 4,831 young people and achieved 2,119 positive outcomes into employment, education and training, the new Director of Operations will help us build on this momentum and extend our impact even further.
