OneRen is a charitable trust in Renfrewshire providing culture, leisure and sporting opportunities to help people enjoy active and healthy lives.

We are passionate about the part we play in improving life-long physical and mental health in every one of our communities. Our charity provides a range of affordable, accessible and ambitious services that are open to all and that improve personal, social and economic outcomes. We are looking for new Directors who share that passion and want to make a transformative contribution to Renfrewshire.

Everything we do at OneRen is founded on our values of integrity, excellence, creativity and fairness, and would like to hear from anyone who wants to help us put those values into action during the next stage of our development.

Our goal is to improve local health and wellbeing by working in partnership to design and deliver a range of life-enhancing and accessible cultural, leisure and sporting opportunities that meet local needs and improve life chances across the population.

It’s an exciting time to join us as we not only prepare to deliver some of the central attractions for our local cultural-led regeneration in the coming years, but as we support the region’s wider recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. Renfrewshire Leisure’s recent outward-facing rebrand to OneRen has highlighted the broad role we have to play in drawing the region together to improve opportunities and help people to lead better lives.

Our major capital projects – including Paisley Museum Reimagined, and the refurbishment of Paisley Town Hall, Paisley Arts Centre and Paisley Central Learning Hub – are attracting significant interest far beyond Renfrewshire.

We want to ensure that, as the largest provider of cultural and leisure services for our region, the success of these major projects deliver in terms of making a difference to individual and community wellbeing, whilst supporting positive economic outcomes for the area.

We encourage applications from a diverse range of talented people who share our passion to deliver the very best outcomes for our communities. In realising our ambitions, we need directors with wide-ranging experience and who can help steer the charity safely out of the ongoing consequences of Covid-19 on our work.

You will be joining a creative organisation that has been widely recognised for its online innovation and community spirit throughout the pandemic. You can help us take this learning forward as we shape our organisation to best fit the needs and aspirations of our communities.

As we enter the next phase of the charity’s work, we need to be confident we have a board of directors who share our values, and have the expertise, skills and passion to deliver for Renfrewshire.
