Trustee Recruitment

Welcome to the Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD) microsite and thank you for your interest in becoming one of our Trustees.

SCLD is an independent charitable organisation. We are a strategic partner to the Scottish Government and our primary purpose is to be an intermediary organisation responsible for:

  • engagement with the learning disability delivery sector
  • supporting policy development and sharing good practice
  • commissioning and promoting research and evidence

We currently have two trustee opportunities on our Board. We are looking for people with a wide range of skills. This might include relevant professional or personal experience, particularly in caring. Or, you may have experience of finance, HR, communications or strategic planning, all of which will help ensure we have a strong and effective board.

Whatever your background, if you're passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities, their families and carers we're really keen to hear from you.

For a confidential discussion please call our recruitment partners, Aspen People Ltd on 0141 212 7555. You'll find specific documentation relating to these roles on the appropriate pages of this site.
