A welcome from our Chair of the Board

At Hanover, we exist to help older people primarily aged 55+ live well, in homes and communities that support independence, connection and dignity. That purpose has guided us for more than forty years. It is also the standard against which this appointment will be judged.

This is one of the most important decisions the Board will take. Our next Chief Executive will work in close partnership with the Board, lead a committed Executive team, and hold the confidence of tenants, employees and partners across Scotland. You will inherit an organisation that is well led, financially sound and clear about its mission. And you will be expected to take that further with compassion and empathy.

We are looking for a leader who can combine strategic ambition with operational care. Someone who understands social housing, social care, later-life support and the realities of regulation and public trust; who can speak with authority nationally while remaining close to the people we house; and who builds strong, honest relationships: with the Board, with employees, and with the communities we serve.

How you lead will matter as much as what you have done. We value partnership, constructive challenge and a culture in which people support one another and ideas are welcomed.
