It is always an exciting time to be leading a small rural housing association but lots of things have come together to make this a personally rewarding and challenging opportunity.
We have just launched our new 3 year business plan, completed an excellence change programme throughout the organisation with a view to empowering our recently increased frontline staff and we have an interesting and innovative development programme using development agents to take this forward. We have a very strong identity with the communities that we serve and strong relationships with a large number of diverse partners including Stirling Council and the National Park. We are determined to play our part in achieving the Scottish Government’s housing targets and are delighted with the additional support being provided to assist in making rural schemes viable.
Our Board of management is looking for a Chief Executive who shares our vision and values and will bring drive and focus to the role with passion and enthusiasm. You will bring strong modern leadership skills and will demonstrate effective communication skills, being able to engage purposefully with our key stakeholders so crucial in a rural area. Value for money will be at the heart of your role while developing and enhancing services to our tenants and the wider communities we serve. Our people are very important to us and you will set the tone for the way Rural Stirling operates by embodying our values and role modelling the behaviours we expect from all who work for and with us.
