The Role: Chief Executive

Salary: c.£50,000

The candidate must possess a proven track record in change management, strategic planning and demonstrate strong financial acumen and business planning skills. This experience will have been developed in a students’ union and/or education, public or third sector membership and/or campaigning organisation.

The new CE will have the ability to manage and deliver a broad range of activities from membership services to commercial.

We require a leader who has passion and the ability to motivate and engage both Officers and staff in shaping the future; a professional who can empower elected Officers to take the lead and offer support / give direction as and when required.

This post will be based primarily in Paisley and will be advertised at approximately c.£50k. The post is complex in any Students’ Association but the particular nature of SAUWS covering four specific educational sites make this a particularly challenging role but also an opportunity for the successful candidate to lead an exciting organisation at the beginning of a new strategic cycle.

The Role: Trustees x 4

Salary: Non-remunerated

Trustees will play a valuable part in shaping the strategic direction for SAUWS, we welcome applications from professionals with a broad range of expertise and experience including financial, commercial, legal, political, environmental and strategic development.

The External Trustees are voluntary positions and do not have to be based in Paisley, or indeed within commuting distance and it would be valuable if there were candidates from across the region to provide that breadth of geographic spread on which UWS prides itself.
