Competitive Salary in the range of £77,711 – £135, 297 per annum depending on experience/Professorial banding, plus a PVC Allowance

The postholder will be appointed for a 4-year term as PVC, with the possibility of a further 4-year term. The role will be underpinned by a Professorial appointment in an academic School within the University

The PVC (Campus Futures) will lead the future evolution of Cardiff University’s campus and infrastructure by:

  • Providing strategic leadership aligned to Our future, together, setting a bold long‑term vision for the future University.
  • Overseeing the transformation and optimisation of the physical estate, including capital programmes, sustainable campus design, and flexible, interdisciplinary facilities.
  • Leading digital transformation (in partnership with the CDIO), ensuring a coherent, secure, ethical and future‑ready digital ecosystem.
  • Embedding inclusive, accessible and high‑quality user experiences across physical and digital environments.
  • Supporting academic innovation through modern learning spaces, technology‑enhanced pedagogy and research infrastructure.
  • Strengthening research and innovation ecosystems by developing spaces, platforms and systems that accelerate knowledge exchange and societal impact.
  • Building major internal and external partnerships, representing Cardiff University regionally, nationally and internationally.
  • Leading organisational development and behaviour‑change initiatives that support collaboration, sustainability and digital adoption.
  • Building and empowering a high‑performing team and cultivating leadership capability across the University.
  • Ensuring students are co-creators of the future campus, promoting belonging, wellbeing and inclusive design.
