Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the post of GWSF Director.

With our current Director planning to retire in early 2027 after nearly 13 years, we’re looking for a new Director to drive forward our work to promote and represent the interests of our 68 community based housing association (CBHA) members.

GWSF is a small but agile and responsive membership body with just two core, full-time staff. This post therefore combines the energy and dynamism of a leadership role with a strong ability to do a lot of the day to day work in liaising with members, producing written briefings and responses etc., and creating and populating events and network group meetings.

And it goes without saying that meeting regularly with ministers, senior government and local authority officials, and other key bodies such as the Scottish Housing Regulator, is a critical part of the job.

We firmly believe that GWSF’s efforts in recent years mean that CBHAs now have a well-established and secure role in their communities and within the wider housing sector in Scotland. GWSF’s aim is to help maintain and protect this and enable member associations to flourish long into the future.

This is a really exciting opportunity and I very much look forward to appointing and working with our new Director.
