Aspen People are working with NESCol to appoint a new Vice Principal – Finance and Resources.

The successful candidate will have a central role to play in realising NESCol’s ambition of becoming Scotland’s best performing College.

The Vice Principal Finance and Resources will be a member of the College Executive Team and, in close collaboration with the Principal and Chief Executive, will be responsible for the strategic, financial and operational direction of the areas within the post’s remit.

This will include responsibility for the following functions: Finance, Estates, Environmental Sustainability, Health, Safety & Security, Student Access & Inclusion and IT & Technical Services alongside the management of a range of significant corporate contracts.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or with a relevant equivalent professional qualification, with evidence of continuous professional development.

They will also have a proven track record and relevant experience of strategic leadership of a finance function in a diverse organisation, and experience of successful strategic planning processes across all areas of responsibility of the post.

A current understanding of the Scottish College Sector and policy developments which will impact upon education and training in the Scottish post 16 educational environment is also desirable.
