Finance Director

The Role

The Mungo Foundation
Finance Director
Glasgow
£70,747 + Allowance

The Mungo Foundation are a leading charity providing services across Elderly & Dementia Care, Homelessness, Learning & Physical Disability, Mental Health, and Recovery. Our mission is to improve and enrich the lives of the most vulnerable people in our communities through our charitable work. With nearly 30 care services across Glasgow and the West of Scotland, we help meet the needs of over 1,500 vulnerable people.

We are looking for a superb Finance individual to join us. The role includes budget setting, timetabling, and coordinating and supporting our current payroll system enhancements. You’ll be an exceptional team player and have knowledge of payroll and financial system suppliers. You’ll work very closely with executive team colleagues to build strategies, taking responsibility for the Finance, Contracts, and IT. Additionally, you will lead as the company secretary for the organisation, ensuring they operate to the legal framework of a UK registered charity and maintaining good governance procedures.

We’re looking for individuals who are technically strong and have experience of running a finance team within a similar sized organisation, ideally within the third sector or social care environment. You will be able to challenge external stakeholders and board members so experience on boards and reporting into a board is ideal. You will also have a strong ability to lead change and facilitate a change process around payroll as well as multi-tasking and working to competing deadlines,

This is a hybrid position but visibility within the team is crucial in the Glasgow office. Additionally, there is a Director’s Availability Allowance attached to the role whereby directors should be full contactable for emergencies one week in four.
