Chief Executive Officer

Welcome

Dear Candidate,

Thank you for your expression of interest in the post of Chief Executive with Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association Ltd.

Originally a Community Based Housing Association, now nearly 45 years-old, we still focus on community at the heart of our activities.  With our Chief Executive of over 18 years retiring, we are looking for someone to continue to support and advise the Committee of Management and guide the organisation as we aim to continue to provide the highest services to our tenants and other customers.

This is an exciting challenge and opportunity for someone with a track record of innovation and leadership, as the Association wishes to undertake a strategic review to clearly define its future direction (a planned review being delayed by the pandemic).

And, of course, the successful candidate will also have to inspire the organisation, as we explore potential new ways of working, post-Covid, that ensure efficiencies of operation and the best support to the community we serve.

We are therefore looking for an inspiring individual who can use their experience and skills to build on the existing strengths of the Association while bringing their own mark to bear on our current activities and offering their ideas for future challenges.

We need someone who can relate to and understand the needs of all stakeholders, from tenants, other customers, and the Committee, to staff and contractors, to our funders and regulators.  The Association has a strong ethos of support, and the new Chief Executive would be expected to maintain and build on this through our advisory and sustainment initiatives to our work with partner organisations, notably the Whiteinch Centre.

If you feel that you can meet and add to these requirements and can do so in a professional and accountable manner then we would welcome your application.
