NHS Forth Valley employs around 7000 staff and provides care and support for patients with acute, mental illness and learning disabilities and a wide range of community based services.

Their modern acute hospital – Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert – is one of the most advanced and well equipped in Europe, and is supported by a network of four community hospitals and 56 health centers, day centres. 

This post of Director of Acute Services, based in Larbert, is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to provide dynamic, strategic direction and operational leadership, in the planning, management and provision of acute services.   Developing and driving innovative improvements to support transformational change locally and regionally to achieve safe and sustainable services that enhance patient experience is a key feature of this role.  NHS Forth Valley have two Health and Social Care Partnerships and the post holder will also be expected to develop strong collaborative relationships to support reform across health and care services.  This is vitally important to how they deliver future whole system health and care services to support people at home or in a community setting.

With the recent opening the Bellfield Centre in Stirling and a number of significant projects which are anticipated in the next five years, this is an exciting time to be joining and contributing to the ambitions and priorities of NHS Forth Valley.
