Director of Business & Finance
£60,477 – £64,254
Barrhead / Hybrid Working

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic and creative team delivering culture and leisure services. With over 400 employees East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust (ERCL) is an award-winning £10M turnover charity delivering sport, leisure, arts and culture services in East Renfrewshire. We operate 10 libraries, 4 leisure centres and pools, sports and arts development programmes, a 330 seat theatre and a wide range of community facilities. Since launching we have grown our commercial income by 20%, whilst reducing our local government funding by 25%, picking up awards for our services and customer care along the way.

As Director of Business and Finance, you will join a small and friendly senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive. You will be directly responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team including Finance, business management and systems change to drive the charity forward.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about public services and wants to help deliver ambitious plans within a competitive commercial environment while ensuring compliance with charity governance and sound financial planning and controls to help maintain the charity’s financial sustainability. You will be skilled at working and dealing with partners; relish working within a diverse business that mixes commercial and charitable activities; and be as comfortable providing advice, challenge and scrutiny as you are fresh ideas.

We offer flexible working options including hybrid working with a blend of in-office and working from home.

On 2 July 2015, East Renfrewshire Council transferred the delivery of its culture and leisure services to an arms-length organisation, East Renfrewshire Culture & Leisure Limited. The successful applicant will be an employee of ERCL.

*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
